Trauma
The COTS Trauma Division serves as the Regional Trauma Organization (RTO) for Central, Southeast, and Southeast Central Ohio. Through collaboration, data-driven performance improvement, and evidence-based best practices, we bring together ten trauma centers verified by the American College of Surgeons, hospitals, emergency departments, emergency responders, and healthcare professionals to strengthen trauma care across our region. In doing so, we provide value to our members and the community.
Working in partnership with our Emergency Services and Emergency Preparedness and Response divisions, COTS supports a coordinated system of care that improves outcomes for injured patients and enhances regional readiness for emergencies and disasters.
