Emergency Management Specialist, Regional Healthcare Coalition Coordinator – Southeast/Southeast Central, Ohio
COTS is seeking a Regional Healthcare Coalition Coordinator to support healthcare emergency preparedness, response coordination, grant administration, and coalition engagement across Southeast/Southeast Central Ohio.
This role works closely with hospitals, local healthcare coalition leads, emergency preparedness partners, and regional stakeholders to strengthen coordination and enhance healthcare system readiness across Ohio Homeland Security Regions 7 and 8.
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience in emergency management, healthcare preparedness, grant administration, or a related field
Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
Ability to collaborate with hospitals, public health, EMS, emergency management, and community partners
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and web-based coordination tools
Willingness to travel for regional, state, and national meetings, trainings, and coalition activities
Position details:
This is a full-time, exempt position with a hybrid work arrangement, including some remote work based on supervisor discretion. The coordinator must be able to attend twice-weekly in-person meetings at the COTS office in Columbus, Ohio, travel throughout Southeast/Southeast Central Ohio, and participate in a 24/7/365 call schedule to support the Healthcare Incident Liaison role during emergencies, incidents, or coalition response activities. Hours are generally Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. Candidates must reside within Ohio Homeland Security Regions 4, 7, or 8.
