Emergency Management Specialist & Training Planner

COTS is seeking an experienced Emergency Management Specialist & Training Planner to support two regional healthcare coalitions covering 36 counties, 66 hospitals, 19 Free Standing Emergency Departments, and 1,200+ community partners. This position coordinates training and exercises, manages preparedness planning, and provides technical and incident response support. The role requires strong project management, instructional design, and communication skills — and 24/7 availability during emergencies.

  • 1.0 FTE = 40 hours per week

  • Standard office environment with frequent virtual and in-person meetings across Central and Southeast/Southeast Central Ohio.

  • Hours are generally Monday - Friday, with some weekends and evenings.

  • Travel required within assigned service area and to state and national meetings/workshops.
