Emergency Preparedness & Response

COTS coordinates the Central Ohio Regional Healthcare Emergency Preparedness (RHEP) Coalition and the  Southeast/Southeast Central Ohio Healthcare Coalition (SEOHC).  The RHEP Coalition and the SEOHC are public-private partnerships that facilitate, support, and strengthen healthcare and related entities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.

Together, we build capabilities that can’t be achieved alone.

COTS offers a Healthcare Incident Liaison (HIL) that leads a regional effort to build an all-hazards resilient healthcare system.

Since 1996, whether responding to an immediate surge of patients or an infectious disease outbreak, COTS has established the relationships, systems, and plans needed to ensure a coordinated regional response to any crisis.

COTS emergency preparedness and response partners collaborate with the Emergency Services and Trauma divisions to ensure best outcomes for the ill and injured experiencing a disaster or mass casualty event in central, southeast and southeast central Ohio.
